Information of APC
There are no submission or initial processing fees for manuscripts submitted to the Journal of Artificial Intelligence in Information Technology (JAI-IT).
However, for manuscripts that are accepted for publication, the following Article Processing Charges (APC) will apply:
USD 0 for international authors
IDR 0 for Indonesian authors
All articles published in JMI are open access and made freely available online immediately upon publication. This ensures that readers can view abstracts and download full-text articles in PDF format without any subscription or access barriers.
The APC helps to cover the operational costs associated with high-quality editorial processes, including:
Manuscript handling and peer review management
Copyediting and layout formatting
DOI registration and long-term digital archiving
Website maintenance and indexing services
As JAI-IT operates under an open-access publishing model, APCs ensure that publication costs are not shifted to readers, thereby supporting free and equitable access to scientific knowledge.
To support global academic equity and encourage submissions from authors with limited funding, APC waivers or discounts may be granted on a case-by-case basis, particularly for:
Authors from low-income or lower-middle-income countries (based on World Bank classification)
Independent researchers or students without institutional funding
Collaborative papers where all authors declare financial constraints
Authors who wish to request a waiver should submit a waiver application to the editorial office at the time of acceptance notification, along with a brief justification. Waiver decisions will not influence the editorial review outcome.
