Focus and Scope

Journal of Artificial Intelligence in Information Technology (JAI-IT) is an international peer-reviewed scholarly journal dedicated to the publication of high-quality research on the application and implementation of Artificial Intelligence (AI) within Information Technology (IT) systems and infrastructures.

The journal focuses specifically on applied AI research that demonstrates practical integration, system-level innovation, empirical validation, and real-world deployment in IT environments. Purely theoretical or algorithmic studies without demonstrated IT implementation are outside the primary scope of this journal.

JAI-IT welcomes original research articles, applied research reports, system development studies, experimental evaluations, and well-documented case studies that contribute to advancing AI-driven IT solutions in organizational, industrial, governmental, and societal contexts.

The journal covers, but is not limited to, the following areas:

  • Machine Learning and Deep Learning Applications in IT Systems

  • Data Mining and Big Data Analytics for Information Systems

  • Natural Language Processing (NLP) in Enterprise and IT Environments

  • Computer Vision Applications in Information Technology

  • Expert Systems and AI-driven Decision Support Systems

  • AI in Software Engineering and IT Infrastructure Management

  • Artificial Intelligence for Cybersecurity and Threat Intelligence

  • Artificial Intelligence of Things (AIoT)

  • AI-based Applications, Implementation Frameworks, and IT Case Studies

Submissions must demonstrate:

  • Clear problem definition within an IT context

  • Methodological rigor and reproducibility

  • System architecture or implementation framework

  • Empirical validation (quantitative, experimental, or comparative evaluation)

  • Practical implications for IT development, management, or governance

JAI-IT aims to bridge the gap between AI research and operational Information Technology practices, fostering innovation that is technically robust, practically deployable, and societally impactful.
